Poppy - ??? - April 22, 2015

Poppy was a good girl. She never caused any trouble, but she didn't take smack from Dapple or Iris. She loved her food, and was always a bit shy. Around other people she wouldn't come out of her hiding place, but when it was just me she would come out and beg for food and act cute. She was a bit of a nibbler, but that's okay; I called them her love nibbles. She was sweet and a chubby girl.

She developed a middle ear abscess. She had surgery for it, and a week later she suddenly became very unwell. I took her to a new vet, and she said that the abscess was much deeper into her head than they took out, and it also had gone down into her jaw and started to rot that away. Also because of its placement, it messed up her left eye.

I love you Poppy. I hope you are no longer in any pain, and I wish I could have done more for you. I miss you and your nibbles.
